FlexBatch 8 simplifies recipe management

The latest version of the Valmet software reduces programming requirements while improving traceability and quality control.

Valmet FlexBatch This batch automation and recipe management software is ISA-88-compliant and enables operators to manage batch processes using intuitive drag-and-drop tools, without the need for programming. FlexBatch improves traceability and quality control, giving processors a record of what occurred during each batch to help document material additions, processing conditions, operator actions and batch results. It can be used by compounders producing custom resin formulations, color concentrates, additives or specialty materials to create and adjust recipes and run them consistently without having to reprogram the control system each time. Processors that make many product variations on the same equipment can scale a recipe up or down, schedule batches based on equipment availability, reuse recipe components and run campaigns more efficiently.

What’s new? The latest version, FlexBatch 8, with enhancements including manual step acknowledgment, an improved user interface and permissions, and simplified reuse of recipe components for faster development. Also, it is now fully integrated with Valmet’s DNAe automation solution for web-based operation.

Benefits Simplified recipe development, reduced programming requirements, increased consistency, higher throughput and better visibility into batch production.
