Mokon debuts low-GWP chillers

The refrigerants in the portable chillers meet standards for environmental friendliness.
Feb. 10, 2026

Chillers Mokon provides energy-efficient portable chillers and centralized cooling systems. Its portable chiller systems cool down to minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit, with capacities up to 60 tons. Its central chiller systems have capacities up to 120 tons.

What’s new? New low-GWP portable chillers, which meet stricter regulations dealing with global-warming potential — the amount of greenhouse gas that can be trapped in the atmosphere over time, relative to the same amount of carbon dioxide. The new portable chillers use R-454B and R-513A refrigerants, rather than the R407-C and R-134A refrigerants used in older chillers. The chillers’ design has also been updated.

Benefits Greater environmental friendliness, and compliance with current standards. Low-GWP chillers have a substantially lower impact on the climate than traditional units.
