Wickert improves automated spraying system

The latest version upgrades monitoring of KPIs and benefits product quality and worker safety.
Oct. 8, 2025

Automated spraying system Using movable distribution beams equipped with individually adjustable nozzles, this innovation from Wickert Maschinenbau GmbH, Landau in der Pfalz, Germany, applies release and flow agents on the upper and lower die and wets the mold halves for hydraulic presses. It can typically be retrofitted to existing equipment. Wickert, which makes presses and peripheral equipment for them, planned to display its technology at the K show. In the U.S., Desma represents Wickert.

What’s new? Improvements in the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs). For example, Wickert provides flow monitoring systems that are especially important for producing visually demanding part surfaces. These systems monitor not only the pressure and travel speeds of the spray, but also the exact amount of release agent that’s applied.

Benefits The precise application of release and flow agents, and elimination of potential errors that can come from manual processes. Manual processes can compromise product quality and workplace safety.
