Micro-Epsilon unit coordinates 2 scanners

The 3D Profile Unit combines information from both scanners to inspect contours, undercuts and thicknesses.

3D Profile Unit This Micro-Epsilon signal processing unit organizes two scanners into a common coordinate system that can perform inspections of entire outer contours, undercuts and thicknesses. The 3D Profile Unit, which includes the Micro-Epsilon 3D Inspect software, can be mounted on a table or wall. With it, two laser scanners and their measured values can be combined to create an overall 2D profile or an overall 3D point cloud.

What’s new? The system, which has been on the market for a few months.

Benefits Easier, precise inline 3D measurement, when compared with trying to measure complex geometries with laser scanners, which can be challenging. The system is suitable for robotics applications and inline production monitoring.
