Smartflow introduces mold validation cart

Mold makers, processors or maintenance facilities can test and troubleshoot cooling lines.

Smartflow Mold Validation Cart This portable mold cooling water line test unit for injection molds is designed for bench testing at mold maintenance facilities, mold builders and injection molding processors. The cart includes a .5 horsepower pump and 18-gallon reservoir to supply cooling water to an onboard manifold system. Included is software that records water temperature and flow data. Supply and return gauges record changes in pressure to spot a line leak. The portable cart, which weighs 220 pounds, includes a four-port supply and return manifold. Either 300 series or 500 series male quick-disconnect hose connections are available. Flow meter range is 0.5 to 10.6 gallons per minutes. A notebook computer equipped with Smartflow Data Logger software is optional.

What’s new? The cart, which was introduced at MD&M West in February.

Benefits The ability to validate, troubleshoot and balance cooling lines outside of the injection molding machine.
