The Okuma Corp. has appointed Dominick Patriarca as president and COO of its Okuma America Corp. subsidiary.

Patriarca joined Okuma in August 2025. He previously held management positions at Gleason Corp., a manufacturer of CNC gear machines and technologies, and Lincoln Electric, an industrial welding and automation company. He also served on operational assignments in Europe and was responsible for Asian businesses in key developing markets.

Patriarca will succeed Jim King, who has served as president and COO of Okuma America since 2011, and took on the CEO role in 2024. He will continue to serve as CEO, senior officer of Okuma Japan and in an advisory role to Patriarca during a transition phase.

Okuma America, based in Charlotte, N.C., is the U.S.-based sales, marketing, engineering, and service affiliate of Okuma Corp., Nagoya, Japan, a manufacturer of CNC machine tools, controls and automation systems.
