Mold technology manufacturer Kebo merges with Plastisud
Kebo AG, based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland, has joined the Plastisud Group in a transaction signed June 22.
Founded in 1979, Kebo manufactures high-precision injection molds and hot runner technologies for applications in the medical/pharmaceutical, laboratory and thin-wall packaging sectors. It is headed by second-generation family members Gerold Keller and Daniel Bodenmann.
The merger is intended to enable efficiency to serve rising customer demand, particularly in the diabetes and obesity market.
Kebo will continue to operate as an independent company within the Plastisud Group (Castelnaudary, France), where it will serve as the provider for applications in the medical, pharmaceutical and laboratory industries. The existing management team and the previous owners will remain on board.
“In Plastisud, we have found a partner for our family-owned company that shares our DNA and has the same high standards for quality and customer service. With this long-term succession plan, we are confident that Kebo will be able to further strengthen its strong position in the field of drug delivery devices,” said Gerold Keller, current co-owner of Kebo.
“Kebo is an ideal fit for the Plastisud Group. This strategic alignment opens up very attractive opportunities for us in the medical and pharma-ceutical sectors, a business that complements our existing product and customer portfolio very well,” said Laurent Buzzo, president and CEO of Plastisud.
