Oerlikon to acquire INglass S.p.A.

Oerlikon Group plans to acquire Italian firm INglass SpA and its hot-runner systems technology, which operates under the HRSflow brand. Oerlikon said the move will help it expand its current manmade fibers business, which will be renamed Polymer Processing Solutions Division.

This new division will be split into the Flow Control Solutions unit, which will combine Oerlikon Barmag’s existing gear metering pumps business line and INglass’ HRSflow operations; while the Manmade Fibers Solutions unit will focus on technology for the production of polyester, PP and polyamide.

Based in Pfäffikon, Switzerland, Oerlikon’s business includes polymer processing and additive manufacturing.
