PCS Co.'s conformal-cooled sprue bushings are offered in two new sizes and provide shorter cycle times and better process control.
Conformal-cooled sprue bushings To combat long cooling times required by cold sprue bushings that use straight-line cooling channels, PCS has a well-established line of conformal-cooled bushings. These bushings use curved channels to more quickly cool the sprue.
What’s new? Addition of a 0.75-inch radius for the company’s U- and B-series bushings. Previous offerings had 0.50-inch radii.
Benefits Reduced cycle times, increased efficiency and better process control. PCS offers the 0.75-inch-radius bushings as direct retrofits for the common U- (0.75-inch-diameter) and B- (1-inch-diameter) series sprue bushings. They are available in standard sizes: 8 for the U-series and 12 for the B-series. PCS can also provide bushings in custom sizes for specific applications. The bushings are constructed of stainless steel for corrosion-resistance and longevity.
