Hot-runner controls Spark Industries’ VNC Viewer app provides users access to its Fast Heat hot-runner controls. The app allows users to monitor the HMI and perform tasks such as create or edit recipes. However, using VNC Viewer requires the device accessing the controls to be on the same network as the hot-runner control. Users who want remote access must add a virtual private network (VPN) to be able to use the app.
What’s new? Simplified remote access via a new app. EasyAccess 2.0 provides a VPN for accessing hot-runner controls from a remote PC.
Benefits Secure, lower-bandwidth connections. Data passed between the PC and the HMI is encrypted for security. The decreased bandwidth usage makes for a more responsive connection, and frees up bandwidth for other network connections. Accessing the server requires one-time activation of each HMI connection, but there is no limit on the number of users, and that access is free. The EasyAccess 2.0 app can be used on a PC, phone or tablet.
