MX7 Anca’s MX7 platform supports the grinding of various tool shapes. Depending on the tool's shape and geometry, grinding can be performed at either the 3 or 12 o'clock position. The platform can handle a variety of tools, including taper ball noses, corner radius, lollipop cutters and step tools, with diameters ranging from 1mm to 25.4mm. The range includes the MX7 Ultra, released a few years ago, which can achieve 1-nanometer axis resolution and maintain a line accurate to within 0.002mm of any profile. The MX platform’s peel grinding solution allows tools to be made in a lean manufacturing environment, with two different grinding processes, such as cylindrical grinding and tool geometry grinding, done in a single tool clamp setup.
What’s new? The ability to go from blank to finished tool in a single setup. Also, Ultra machines in Anca’s portfolio boast upgrades to Anca’s ToolRoom RN35 software, suited for designing and manufacturing complex high-performance cutting tools for the medical, electronics and communications industries.
Benefits Efficiency, precision and accuracy.
