The UMC-1500-DUO dual-station vertical machining center from Haas has a stationary T-slot table, as well as a trunnion rotary table.

UMC-1500-DUO This dual-station vertical machining center from Haas has a stationary T-slot table for three-axis worksuch as heavy material removal or cutting dovetails into a workpiece, as well as a trunnion rotary table that allows it to perform full five-axis machining.

What’s new? The UMC-1500-DUO, which offers double the X-axis travels of the standard UMC-750. Haas will also offer a “super speed” model designated the UMC-1500SS-Duo, which boosts spindle sped from 8,100 rpm to 12,000 rpm. Both models will be available for delivery in the third quarter in the U.S. and Canada only.

Benefits Versatility. The two tables make it convenient to machine a wide variety of parts. The stationary table and rotary table are mounted at the same height, so longer parts can be affixed to both surfaces and machined using the center’s full X-axis reach. The door is mounted inside the enclosure, which improves chip control and allows the control pendant to be located more conveniently for the operator on the front of the machine.
