Cloud-based system tracks molds, tooling

ProFile Progressive Components’ ProFile system uses tags with QR codes that can be scanned by mobile devices to track a variety of assets, including molds, dies and fixtures. It can be used as a standalone system, or users can share data with their existing enterprise resource planning systems. 

What’s new? Cloud-based asset management.  

Benefits Simplified asset management. The system’s cloud-based filing cabinet offers 10 gigabytes of storage for maintenance records, work orders and a GPS map showing the location of assets when they were last scanned. ProFile offers users tiered levels of access to information based on their role.
