CamWorks HCL’s CAM programming software can be used by mold makers to develop cutting toolpaths and strategies for milling, turning, wire-cutting and nesting.

What’s new? CamWorks 2019. Enhancements include new three-, four- and five-axis milling features and improvements to the two- and four-axis turning simulations. The package also includes a new module for working with 3-D metal printers, as well as improvements to the technology database where users can define their preferred tools, speeds and machining strategies. Other changes include improvements to toolpath editing and collision checking.

Benefits Optimized machining strategies. With CamWorks 2019’s expansion of its Tolerance Based Machining feature, manual tasks associated with using 2-D drawings and preparing close-tolerance work can be automated. The feature automatically selects the appropriate machining strategies to meet tolerance requirements. Overall, the software saves mold makers time and reduces the risk of waste.
