Kuka AMP Kuka’s new open software — the name stands for Automation Management Platform — uses artificial intelligence (AI) to manage all types of automation, including robots and cobots from the company or other suppliers. It provides a bridge between traditional rule-based systems with AI-driven, intent-based automation. With the innovation, Kuka can add intent-based capabilities and AI across robotics, system integration, warehouse management, healthcare automation and simulation. By leveraging these capabilities and AI, automation can work more autonomously to achieve goals, without requiring step-by-step programming. Kuka characterizes the automation evolution as Automation 2.0.
What’s new? The software, which Kuka introduced at the Nvidia GTC global AI conference in March.
Benefits Faster, more flexible and cost-efficient deployment of intelligent automation. Kuka AMP allows systems to perceive and act autonomously within manufacturing environments.
