Baltimore-based Novatec Inc. announced it has entered a distributor partnership with Aboni GmbH, becoming the exclusive distributor for German firm’s HT3 HydroTracer product in North and Latin American countries.
Novatec became a distributor after having used Aboni’s offline moisture analyzer for plastic resin in its lab for more than 15 years. The HT3 HydroTracer, which Aboni has been selling for more than 20 years, detects any residual water in solids, with measuring accuracy to one part per million. Unlike methods such as loss-in-weight units, the HT3 HydroTracer measures only water, not volatiles, so it doesn’t need to be calibrated to the material it is measuring.
Novatec will be a stocking distributor of the HT3 HydroTracer technology and a U.S.-based service and parts center for the product.
