Saip opening first U.S. location

Saip, an Italian manufacturer of PU processing machinery, is opening its first location in the U.S. The new Columbus, Ohio, facility will serve as a technical hub and spare parts warehouse and will have a team of engineers and technicians to support sales in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

“North America represents a very important and fast-growing market for polyurethane production lines and machines,” said Luca Ceresa, Saip’s commercial director, who will lead operations. “By creating a network of solid and complementary partnerships that provide broad access to the North American market, Saip expects to build a successful and durable presence in these countries.”

Saip expects the North American market to account for 30 percent of its business within a year. Saip S.u.r.l. is headquartered in Romano di Inverigo, Italy.
