Hexagon software update works with full line of measurement devices

PC-DMIS This popular measurement software from Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence comes with all of the company’s measurement devices, from portable measuring arms to CMMs and laser tracker systems. A retrofit package is available for most non-Hexagon equipment. The software can run on several versions of Windows operating systems.

What’s new? The 2019 R2 edition. The second of two updates scheduled for this year, it was released in August. Its Thickness Colormap function uses mesh or point cloud data to give users an intuitive graphical representation of a component’s thickness or any deviations from the CAD model.

Benefits Easy access to information. Product news, helpful videos and the PC-DMIS idea center can all be found seamlessly through the software. The new Ring Light Migration feature simplifies switching between vision measuring machines that have different ring light configurations. The new edition of the software also supports use of a roughness sensor for the first time.
