Wittmann Group restructures management
The Wittmann Group is restructuring its management, consolidating its Kottingbrunn, Austria-based Wittmann Battenfeld injection molding machine (IMM) division with the Wittmann Technology automation and auxiliary equipment division, based in Vienna.
The combined organization, effective May 1, will be led by the company’s two owners, Michael Wittmann and Werner Wittmann.
“With this new structure, we are consistently implementing the ‘It’s all Wittmann’ strategy — launched in 2022 — all the way up to the executive management level,” Michael Wittmann said in a press release. “Our high level of expertise in providing comprehensive solutions from a single source is a strong competitive advantage that we will expand even more intensively worldwide through this consolidation.”
Rainer Weingraber, managing director and CEO of Wittmann Battenfeld since 2019, will leave the group at the end of April.
“Mr. Weingraber has steered the injection molding machine division through challenging times and played a key role in driving the integration of all business units,” Michael Wittmann said. “We thank Mr. Weingraber for his dedication and achievements over the past seven years and wish him all the best for the future.”
Wittmann Group operates 10 production plants in seven countries, with U.S. operations based in Torrington, Conn. Its range of products includes IMMs, robots and automation systems, materials-handling systems, dryers, gravimetric and volumetric blenders, granulators, temperature controllers and chillers.
