Volker Nilles is new CEO of Arburg 

The addition expands the management team of the German injection molding machine maker to six people.

Volker Nilles has been named CEO of Arburg as of Jan. 12.

He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in mechanical and automotive engineering, including in management positions with experience in the U.S., China and India. 

He began his career in machine tool engineering at ThyssenKrupp, followed by positions in plant management at Bosch Rexroth and as CEO of Kleemann GmbH. At KraussMaffei, he served as EVP - new machines - and on the extended board. His most recent position was as CEO of Humbaur GmbH, a manufacturer of car trailers. 

The appointment brings the top-level management team of the injection machine manufacturer to six people, including Managing Partners Juliane Hehl (global marketing and business development) and Michael Hehl (premises development), and Managing Directors Tobias Baur (sales, after sales), Guido Frohnhaus (technology and engineering) and Steffen Kroner (finance, controlling, IT, global HR).

“We are pleased to welcome on board Dr. Nilles, an internationally experienced expert with a broad portfolio,” Michael Hehl said.

Arburg, headquartered in Lossburg, Germany, manufactures injection molding machinesrobotic systems, turnkey solutions and digital products and services. Its U.S. operation is based in Rocky Hill, Conn.
