LS Mtron reports 101 percent year-over-year growth in North America
A South Korean OEM making an aggressive push into North America is posting numbers indicating it’s on pace to meet its goals — and could soon begin manufacturing injection molding machines (IMMs) in the U.S.
In late September, LS Mtron Injection Molding Machines USA reported 101 percent year-over-year growth in the U.S. from August 2024 to August 2025, and it has reached 10 percent market share for IMMs. Also, company officials recently toured a 20,000-square-foot site in Marion, Ohio, that features a 150-ton crane and could support production of large-tonnage IMMs.
“Our quick success affirms that by truly serving molders with presses tailored exactly to their specifications and completely committing to our customers’ success, our approach is resonating strongly with the plastics industry,” said Paul Caprio, LS Mtron president of sales.
Recent new customers include Hard Head Veterans of Sweetwater, Texas, Stanford Manufacturing of Clemmons, N.C., Diskin Enterprises of Garrettsville, Ohio, and Atomic Industries of Warren, Mich.
LS Mtron has also debuted a new customer portal where customers can order parts at a 5 percent discount. Users can map all machines in their inventory, and view and rotate 3D images of machines and parts.
A home dashboard displays ordered parts, completed orders and ongoing service cases. Customers can track their orders and inventory, and submit inquiries about molding machines and services.
