Zeiger shrinks shut-off nozzle

Smaller footprint allows nozzle for LSR molding to fit into smaller and tighter platen areas.

LSR Water-Cooled Shut-Off Nozzle At K 2019, Zeiger Industries displayed a new shut-off nozzle that it will begin offering with its LSR molding Plug-N-Play Conversion Kit, which lets processors quickly and easily convert their thermoplastic injection molding machines for LSR molding. The nozzle also can be used with any LSR barrel.

What’s new? The nozzle’s design. Its footprint has been reduced compared to the previous design, allowing it to fit into smaller and tighter platen areas.

Benefits Better heat dissipation. The new design offers improved turbulent water flow and more streamlined flow paths. It also introduces an internally actuated cylinder, whereas the previous design had an exterior mounting.
