The Alpla Group, a specialist in the manufacture and recycling of plastic packaging, has established a separate division to focus on injection molding — its AlplaInject division.  In addition to injection molding, the division will focus on injection blow molding, compression molding,  global toolmaking, development and sales, along with parts made through those processes, like closures, caps, jars and multi-part packaging components such as pumps or deodorant sticks.

“With AlplaInject, we are focusing on the specific requirements of the dynamic injection molding market. We combine technological expertise and regional market knowledge, promote the global rollout of innovative processes and enable our customers to bring new products to market faster,”
said Michael Feltes, the division’s managing director, who was formerly business development director for Alpla’s injection molding section.

Based in Hard, Austria, Alpla manufactures roughly 60 billion injection molded parts per year at 43 plants around the world.
