Arburg mourns loss of Senior Partner Eugen Hehl

Hehl, who died Dec. 12 at the age of 94, was instrumental in the development of the company’s global sales organization.

Eugen Hehl, senior partner of Arburg GmbH + Co. KG, died Dec. 12, 2023, the company announced in a press release. He was 94. 

Hehl, a master mechanic, was recognized for his entrepreneurial vision and strong social commitment. He was instrumental in the development of global sales at Arburg, a leading manufacturer of plastic processing machines based in Lossburg, Germany. 

As chairman of the management team for many years, he was responsible for global sales at Arburg and played a key role in the company's success. He also served as managing partner and senior partner, and Arburg called him the “master builder of the company.” Along with his brother, Karl, who died in 2010, he played a decisive role in shaping the family business for more than seven decades. 

In November 2000, Germany honored Eugen Hehl with the Federal Cross of Merit for his achievements.
