Motan's material loaders meet medical rules

Nov. 21, 2023
The Metro G med line is designed for use in the most stringent clean rooms.

Metro G med Motan has updated its established Metro G family of material loaders with a new version tailored to meet the strict quality and hygiene standards required for medical and pharmaceutical industry applications. Its Metro G med material loaders feature electropolished stainless steel surfaces, strong stainless steel material sieves and special filters with high-quality seals to ensure reliable, dust- and contamination-free operation.

What’s new? The Metro G med, which is compliant with Title 21 Code for Federal Regulations requirements from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration — also known as FDA 21 CFR — for conveying of plastic granulate.

Benefits Clean-room compatibility. While implosion vacuum valves and HEPA H13 filters to remove dust from the material are standard for the line, an optional valve requires no compressed air, making the Metro G med appropriate for the strictest clean-room environments. With rounded corners, an electropolished stainless steel body and a stainless-steel discharge flap that can be removed, the unit is easier to clean. Motan also offers a variant that mounts directly on the feed throat of the processing machine. With no outlet flap and no need for a separate material hopper, this machine loader operates with a low material supply, which minimizes residence time and makes it an ideal choice for conveying hygroscopic materials and in facilities where space is at a premium.
