Engel unveils service to deal with digitalization data

Machinery supplier Engel is offering a new analytics package to help processors make sense of the reams of data being produced as injection molding becomes an increasingly digital process.

Engel’s data scientists will analyze a customer’s available data as part of its performance.boost analytics service, process the results and make concrete recommendations to achieve results such as boosting production efficiency or cutting the reject rate.

The company said that its service can go farther than previously available packages and, depending on its customer’s requirements and the application being examined, the analysis can reveal root causes of rejects and enable long-term trend statements.
