As VP of global processing engineering, he will bring process technologies, digital products and global processing engineering under joint management.

The Engel Group announced that Johannes Kilian, its VP of process technologies and Inject 4.0, has been named the new VP of global processing engineering. Kilian takes this position following the departure of Norbert Müller, who accepted an appointment as professor for plastics processing at the Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

With Kilian’s appointment, Engel plans to bring together its process technologies and digital products, as well as global processing engineering, under joint management.

“We are delighted to have won over Johannes Kilian for this strategic reorientation,” Engel Group CTO Gerhard Dimmler said. “This will ensure that we orient our research and development even more closely on customer needs and empower us to further expand our technology leadership.”

Headquartered in Schwertberg, Austria, Engel manufactures injection molding equipment.
