Mobile Industrial Robots expands AMR lineup

AMRs Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) can navigate safely among people and other moving equipment in industrial environments. They are outfitted with sensors, 3-D cameras and laser-scanning technology to ensure precise and safe navigation and operation. The company touts them as an economical alternative to forklifts, which can pose hazards to operators.  

What’s new? The MiR600 and the MiR1350, the company’s first AMRs with an IP52 rating for protection from dust and water spray. They join five other models in MiR’s lineup. Designed for transporting heavy materials through challenging manufacturing and warehouse environments, they are the most powerful AMRs the company offers. The MiR600 can lift 1,322 pounds, and the MiR1350 can lift 2,976 pounds. Applications include transporting heavy loads in loading bays, production and assembly areas, warehouses and material delivery areas. A variety of top modules are available to tailor them to specific tasks, such as picking up and dropping off pallets and carts.
