The Wisconsin maker of surface-coating technologies has expanded its manufacturing capabilities.

Enercon Industries Corp. announced it has invested in CNC equipment to allow it to make parts such as plasma nozzles, drilled port flame burners and narrow web corona treater housings in-house. The company says the move will allow it to cut costs and lead times associatewith outsourcing such work.

With its headquarters in Menomonee Falls, Wis., Enercon manufactures equipment for the plastics, converting and packaging industries, including corona and atmospheric plasma treating systems.
