KraussMaffei’s Netstal-brand Elios injection presses are designed for molding thin-walled packaging such as high-quality trays, cups, lids, buckets and plant pots.

Netstal Elios KraussMaffei’s Netstal-brand Elios injection molding machines are high-performance models designed for molding thin-walled packaging such as high-quality trays, cups, lids, buckets and plant pots. They feature fast dry-cycle timeand dynamic injection speeds.

What’s new? The Netstal Elios 8800 and 10000 models. They join four other Elios presses, bringing the product line’s range of clamping forces to 500 tons at the low end and 1,100 tons at the top end. The numbers in the names denote their clamping forces in kilonewtons. Equipped with a five-point dual-toggle lever, the machines’ clamping unit features a generous installation space to accommodate the trend toward larger molds and stack molds. The tie-bar clearance is 4.1 feet by 4.1 feet; a tie-bar clearance of 4.4 feet by 4.4 feet is optionally available. The maximum installation height is 4.9 feet to accommodate large stack molds. The patented injection unit technology facilitates a high ratio of flow path to wall thickness, yielding the thinnest walls — even for large parts.

Benefits Short cycle times, high output and efficiency. The combination of state-of-the-art hybrid technology and the recuperation of braking energy makes the machines very energy efficient. Also, their ability to make very thin-walled parts saves on material costs.
