Trexel Inc. announced it has appointed Roger Kaufmann as its new director of business development, and that Hartmut Traut has retired from his position as VP of international relations.
Kaufmann’s new role will be a part-time position, as he continues in his current position as CEO of GK Concept, a design firm in Dresden, Germany. He will work with Trexel’s European and global sales forces to seek out new customers and new applications for the company’s MuCell and TecoCell foaming products.
Traut, who spent 19 years with Trexel in roles that included business director for Europe, will remain active in the industry. He had a prominent role in building Europe as the largest market for Trexel’s products and now carries the title of VP emeritus with the company.
Based in Wilmington, Mass., Trexel specializes in the development of foaming technologies for injection molding.
