MuCell grants Trexel rights to sell to EBM market

Trexel had for years been limited to offering MuCell technology for automotive blow molding applications after the sale of its extrusion business to MuCell’s parent company.

MuCell Extrusion LLC announced it has extended Trexel Inc.’s rights to sell its MuCell foaming technology, and effective immediately will grant Trexel the rights to offer it to the extrusion blow molding market.

Trexel, Wilmington, Mass., had for years been limited to offering MuCell technology for automotive blow molding applications, as part of a non-competition agreement agreed to in Trexel’s 2008 sale of its extrusion business to MuCell’s parent company. MuCell is based in Woburn, Mass.

“We are delighted to come to this agreement for Trexel Inc. to offer a wider range of solutions to extrusion blow molding as MuCell Extrusion refocuses on applications for extruded sheet and film,” commented David Stirling, Group CEO of MuCell parent company Zotefoams plc.
