Haitian’s Zhafir Zeres F press hits U.S. market

April 29, 2020
The Zeres F comes in clamping forces ranging from 169 to 506 tons and targets molders who want to perform high-speed injection molding but can’t justify the cost of most high-speed machines.

The Zhafir Zeres F, an electric injection molding machine for high-speed operation, is now available in the U.S., according to Absolute Haitian, the exclusive distributor of Haitian and Zhafir presses in the U.S. and Canada.

The Zeres F comes in clamping forces ranging from 169 to 506 tons. It targets molders that want to perform high-speed injection molding but can’t justify the cost of most high-speed machines, the company said.

The Zeres machine is equipped with an integrated hydraulic system to handle cores, ejectors, optional valve gates and injection carriage movement, eliminating the need for a separate hydraulic power unit that takes up floor space. The company introduced the Zeres F at K 2019 in a production cell making a lid in four cavities with high-speed in-mold labeling.

The Zeres F can achieve injection speeds of up to 350mm per second;  has a high-performance, abrasion-resistant screw and barrel with a 25:1 L:D ratio; and features a double-cylinder injection carriage with programmable contact nozzle force and linear rails for precise injection movement.
