New tester measures strain in materials
Epsilon One This new, non-contact extensometer from Tinius Olsen uses video to measure strain in a variety of materials, including plastics, metals, composites and elastomers. Processors can use it to measure the strength and performance of plastics in tensile tests.
What’s new? The tester, which Tinius Olsen introduced in the last couple months.
Benefits Fast, accurate strain measurement that requires no contact with the part. The extensometer can achieve data rates of up to 3,000 hertz.
