Mecmesin's new line of universal testing machines performs a range of product- and materials-testing procedures for plastics, composites, metals and other materials.

OmniTest Mecmesin's new line of universal testing machines performs a range of product- and materials-testing procedures for plastics, composites, metals and other materials. Used for quality control and R&D, the bench-mounted machines measure tensile strength, compression, flexure, stress and strain and have a wide range of grips and fixtures to hold test specimens up to 200mm in diameter. The frame and drive system provide a high level of rigidity, resulting in negligible frame deflection. An extensometer is optional.

What's new? The product line, and its new VectorPro MT materials analysis software. Mecmesin introduced the first model in the line, a single-column machine (shown) for loads up to 5 kilonewtons (kN), in May; three twin-column models are hitting the market this fall, for loads up to 10 kN, 25 kN and 50 kN. The VectorPro MT software features an intuitive drag-and-drop test-builder function, icon-driven graphing tools and customizable reporting options to present the data in the most useful way. The software is built around a database that logs user permissions, test parameters, test versions and results, and provides an audit trail and electronic signature functionality.

Benefits Versatility, reliability and ease of use. Also, the devices are easily networkable for remote access by supervisors.
