Engel completes TIG acquisition

Machinery maker Engel Austria GmbH, based in Schwertberg, has completed its yearslong integration of manufacturing execution system vendor TIG.

Since acquiring TIG in 2016 and bringing the distribution of its authentic product into its fold, Engel now is fully integrating TIG know-how into its existing structures. Officially, TIG will be merged into the Engel Group on Jan. 1, 2024, with Engel taking on all its employees and the TIG headquarters in Rankweil, Vorarlberg, Austria. Hannes Pils, who previously was TIG’s CEO, now has the role of head of service and consulting for customer service for Engel.
