Coperion's new screw elements reduce abrasion

Screw elements At the K show, Coperion showed off some new screw elements to reduce abrasion while using extrusion processing fillers. Available for Coperion’s ZSK twin-screw extruders in all sizes, the screw elements are appropriate for recycling applications. 

What’s new? The screw elements, which Coperion demonstrated at the K show on a ZSK 58 Mc18 extruder, which has a screw diameter of 58mm and a specific torque of 18 nanometers per cubic centimeter. It can achieve throughputs in excess of 5,500 pounds of hour.  

Benefits Reduced abrasion in the melt zone while achieving very high throughput increases in processing fillers.
