VibeTrack monitors Coperion ZSK extruders

Sensors monitor the extrusion process at multiple points and capture data for reporting and insights.

ZSK Mc¹⁸ These Coperion twin-screw extruders are designed for maximum torque of 18 nanometers per cubic centimeter, for highest throughput using engineering plastics and previously torque-limited products, such as PA with glass, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) with glass and glass fiber-reinforced PP. The extruders ensure gentle processing, even when using highly filled materials. A wide range of wear-protection solutions is available, along with other application-specific options, such as quick-release features and side devolatilization.

What’s new? A condition monitoring system, called VibeTrack, now available for the ZSK-series extruders, from ZSK 40 up to ZSK 140, which have screw diameters from 40mm to 140mm. The VibeTrack package, which Coperion plans to feature at the K show, includes sensors on the motor, gearbox and process section that monitor the extrusion process. The package can be added to new and existing extruders.

Benefits Continuous data capture and availability and permanent monitoring. As part of a VibeTrack service agreement, Coperion experts can access measurement results remotely, issue relevant reports and draw insights.
