BFC Bulk-Out This bulk bag discharger from Flexicon has side-mounted, pneumatically activated mechanisms that feed the contents of bags into downstream processes in a rapid, but controlled, rhythm. It features a cantilevered I-beam with an electric hoist and trolley that allows the loading of a bulk bag without the use of a forklift. Options include a flexible screw conveyor and dust-collection devices.

What’s new? The incorporation of a bag-piercing hopper. As single-use bags are lowered onto the hopper, the hopper’s four-bladed knife splits them from seam to seam.

Benefits Easy emptying of bags of free-flowing and non-free-flowing materials, including pellets and powders, such as resins, compounds and additives. The bag-piercing hopper reduces the need for human labor and reduces bag-emptying times by as much as 95 percent.
