KraussMaffei Group plans to merge all of its corporate extrusion operations into a new facility in Laatzen, Germany, outside of Hanover. The new plant, which is scheduled to be complete in the second half of 2022, is the largest investment program in the company’s history.

The consolidation will bring the company’s experts to a single location, which will allow them test new materials and experiment with new final products. “Beyond our direct processing solutions that have already been tried and tested, the R&D center now offers our experts the opportunity to implement and test completely new ideas,” said Volker Nilles, executive VP for new machinery business at KraussMaffei.

The company’s extrusion technologies include equipment for pipe, profiles, sheet, flat film, rubber, foam, compounding and recycling.
