Multi-Touch Battenfeld-Cincinnati has expanded the capabilities of its roll stack with a unit that can handle more than 3 tons an hour, depending on the width and thickness of the sheet.

What's new? An extra-large version, known as XXL, with more rolls than conventional three-roll stacks. With the new machine, the sheet first passes through a pre-calibration unit made up of two large rolls, then moves to the re-calibration unit equipped with either three, five or seven small rolls.

Benefits High-speed sheet production with thickness tolerances within 1 percent, reducing waste. Because it is in constant contact with chill rolls, the sheet handled by the Multi-Touch is reliably cooled with consistent thickness and little orientation.
