Econ GmbH names Friedrich Rechberger as managing director
Friedrich Rechberger has been named managing director of Econ GmbH, the Austrian manufacturer of pelletizing equipment, succeeding Roman Führer.
Rechberger has more than 30 years of international experience in business development, sales and customer care at industrial companies. He had previously served as an external consultant in establishing Econ’s U.S. subsidiary in Monroe, Mich.
In his new role, he will be responsible for projects, quality management, sales and marketing.
Michael Forstner, president and CEO of Econ Inc. USA, will assume responsibility for customer service and the Technical Center, taking over from Führer.
“With Friedrich Rechberger, we have gained a highly experienced and internationally recognized expert for the management of Econ. I am convinced that this represents a decisive step in consistently advancing our international growth strategy for the benefit of our customers, suppliers, partners and employees,” said CEO and founder Gerhard Hehenberger.
“I am grateful for the trust placed in me. My goal is to consistently continue ECON’s international development together with our team and, above all, to further increase customer satisfaction. Sustainable growth, internationalization, and innovation are clearly our top priorities,” Rechberger said.
Econ also announced that its new sales, service and production facility in Brazil will begin operations in August.
