AIM gains accreditation for its certificate program

The American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute, Erie, Pa., has received accreditation for its Plastics Technology and Engineering certificate program from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). AIM said it is the first plastics program to be accredited by ANSI, the official U.S. representative to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

"The program was developed to fill the vast void between today's industry training and university education," said John Beaumont, AIM's founder and president. The program combines on-site education with online lectures, labs and exercises.
