A new certificate program offered through the American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute, Erie, Pa., will cover the process in-depth, with emphasis on four fundamentals — plastic materials, mold design, injection molding and part design. 

According to AIM, students in the program will learn a variety of strategies to optimize the injection molding process and creatively solve industry problems.

The seven-week-plus program will kick off for students with a week in AIM's classroom and lab. After the first week, students will work remotely on assignments for the next five weeks, then return to AIM for a week of hands-on learning and two days of final exams.
