New Robotiq tools simplify cobot programming

June 1, 2017

Robotiq, Lévis, Quebec, is offering program templates for collaborative robots as part of its online resource center. Designed to help new users program their cobots faster, the program templates are for applications using Robotiq products, such as grippers, in conjunction with Universal Robots cobots. Each template comes with step-by-step instructions and a demonstration video. The templates provide a pre-built structure that is easy to adapt to specific production requirements. Available templates at press time covered stacking and unstacking; using force torque sensors; palletizing using a wrist camera; measuring insertion force; increasing the field of view of a wrist camera; and streaming data from a force torque sensor. Robotiq plans to add a new template every week. The templates are available at robotiq.com/resource-center/program-templates/.
