Milacron teams with Linear AMS for cooling solutions

Cincinnati-based Milacron Holdings Corp. has announced an agreement with Linear AMS to provide metal 3-D-printed conformal cooling products to the molding industry through the TruCool line of products in its DME brand.

TruCool uses a direct-metal-laser-melting 3-D process to produce complex cavities, cores and components that can't be created with conventional tooling, the company said. Linear AMS, of Livonia, Mich., has been manufacturing 3-D printed conformal cooling inserts for more than a decade.
