Makino announces merger with Global EDM Supplies

    CNC machining center manufacturer Makino Inc. has merged with Global EDM Supplies to expand its Single Source Technologies (SST) business. Both companies are based in Mason, Ohio. Global EDM's product catalog of more than 3,000 electrical discharge machining (EDM) parts and supplies will provide SST's customers with increased access to a broader range of products and technologies. The merger was expected to be finalized in the first quarter of this year.

    "We are very pleased to continue our growth in the consumables business through the merger of Global EDM Supplies," Makino CEO Don Lane said.
