EUROMAP, the umbrella association for plastics and rubber machinery makers in Europe, has introduced an energy label to place on extrusion blow molding and injection molding equipment.
The label underlines the group's focus on the growing importance of energy efficiency, officials said in a press release. EUROMAP had already published energy measurement standards for those two types of machinery but machinery makers had used their own labels to display energy efficiency classes. EUROMAP's goal was to create a common neutral label. Label use is voluntary and third-party certification is not required in order to display it.
