FlexPitch ALPS Inspections’ leak detection technology provides non-destructive inspection of blow molded containers. Test heads can be set to the required pitch, enabling fast changeover between containers of varying diameters.

What’s new? The FlexPitch Solo Moving-Head leak testing system, designed for containers that are difficult to handle, such as tall, narrow, reverse-tapered or oval-shaped containers. Flexible enough to accommodate both challenging and standard bottle designs, the technology can be mounted easily and directly to existing conveyor lines. It is appropriate for a variety of industries, including the health-care, pharmaceutical and personal care packaging sectors. Applicable containers include eye-drop bottles and small vials to slim mascara tubes, lotions and hair-care containers produced through injection stretch blow molding, extrusion blow molding, injection blow molding and reheat stretch blow molding.

Benefits Reliable in-line leak testing that can proceed without disrupting production, even when dealing with unstable or unusually shaped containers.
