MMC-HSSBF creates and inspects tamper-evident bands

System slits and folds caps, looks for contamination and pinholes, and checks caps’ seal.
Dec. 1, 2019
MMC-HSSBF MMC Packaging Equipment, which makes post-molding automation equipment, has released this new machine that slits bottle caps once they’re molded to form tamper-evident bands. It is compatible with bottle caps ranging in diameter from 24mm to 38mm. The MMC-HSSBF has two inspection systems that check closure integrity and correlate the caps to the mold cavities that created them. The systems look for contamination and pinholes, as well as problems related to the caps’ seals. To further streamline the process, the MMC-HSSBF comes with a cap-counting accumulation and boxing system.

What’s new? The tamper-evident band-making machine, which MMC launched at K 2019.

Benefits The high-speed production of high-quality bands, and Industry 4.0 readiness. The MMC-HSSBF makes bands that preserve product integrity. It can automatically monitor critical parameters, including performance, production and inspection data, uptime and maintenance needs. One PC-based control can accommodate multiple tamper-evident band machines.
